In daily practice, the most important insights rarely arise behind the desk. They come during a meeting or directly after a client appointment. It is precisely at those moments that it is difficult to capture everything correctly in Odoo right away. Not because the system cannot do it, but because typing is simply not always convenient or possible.
To solve that problem, we have developed a speech recognition module for Odoo version 19 Powered by Juvoly. 
With this module, you can record spoken messages and automatically convert them to text. The module recognizes and processes Dutch speech, so notes are captured directly correctly and legibly in Odoo.
From speaking to capturing, directly in Odoo
The speech recognition module is fully integrated into Odoo. For example, when you go to Contacts and open the right contact, you will see a microphone icon next to Log note. This allows you to easily record a voice message. Think of a summary of a meeting, action points that have just been agreed upon, or ideas you don't want to forget.
After recording, you can transcribe the voice message with one click. The spoken text is then automatically recorded in the Notes tab of the contact or in the chatter, so colleagues can read along immediately. The original audio recording is also available in a clear menu, so you can always listen back if needed.
Capturing ideas, without missing anything
Important insights often arise at unexpected moments: during a brainstorming session, after a client conversation, or while working on a project. Typing is not always practical, which can lead to details being easily lost.
With the speech recognition module, you can directly dictate ideas and notes. Odoo automatically converts your spoken words into text and captures them immediately, so everything remains complete and organized. This way, the team can respond faster and build on your input.
Even during regular work, this operates efficiently. Dictating a longer message often takes significantly less time than typing the same story. This makes it easier to fully capture information, which ultimately leads to better documentation and clearer communication within the team.
Automation
Since the information is structured in Odoo, we can perform automation here with (automatic) actions. For example, to create a new task, schedule an appointment, or initiate a complete workflow. Especially with Care software for Odoo, this module can take a lot of work off the users' hands.
